Intern in 2002, when we decided to use evolving technologies to improve performance of various operations at Gandhi Brothers. We wanted to create our corporate website, inventory management system and account management software. Bhavin not only developed solutions for our inventory management system but also helped us in enhancing the system by asking for constant feedback. I was really amazed to see the level of professionalism and knowledge in the young student like him. Due to his dedication and hard work, he got promoted to I.T. Consultant within one year. During his time as an I.T. Consultant, he helped us in creating few other software solutions by managing team of 4 other interns.

I consider him to be one of the best young consultant I have ever worked with. I had the privilege of working with Bhavin as my manager for approximately 5 years and he is easily the best manager with whom I have ever worked. During our time together at IGT we built a solid foundation of teamwork and mutual professional respect.

Bhavin is an excellent manager for three reasons:

First, he excels at management on an individual level. On our team he was managing about ten people and he modified his communication strategies for each us. I found this to be very valuable, because rather than expecting me to conform to his style he adjusted to his approach to find something that worked for both of us.

Second, he works to ensure the development of the staff on his team. Bhavin was always encouraging us to set ambitious goals that resulted in not only returns on investments for the company, but also in professional growth and promotions for us as individuals.

Third, he set goals for our team that were designed to improve the company and cement our position as an industry leader. The portion of IGT where I worked with Bhavin was called the “tools team.” Our purpose was to create software that enabled other engineers to do their jobs more efficiently and to help them produce the best products possible. He is an absolute wizard with numbers and was able to quantify the benefits of our contributions to the company’s bottom line in a way that upper management found extremely useful.
